RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios: 1:5 during day shifts, 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to similar Med/Surg Telemetry units (D1, F2) when needed
• Participate in daily MDRs on day shift Monday-Friday from 10:30-11:00/11:15 AM
• Work with 48-bed unit (average census 27) specializing in medical/surgical and orthopedic telemetry patients
• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
• Must have med/surg and telemetry experience
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and provide orthopedic care
• Manage IV medications including Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin
• Provide wound care including drain management and VACs
• Handle NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition
• Manage central lines including PICC, HD catheters, and midlines
• Provide foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care
• Perform ostomy care and post-operative patient care
• Use equipment including Hoyer lifts, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder
• Document using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise system
• Dress code: scrubs (prints or solids) and closed-toe shoes (no crocs)
