RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit (Med Surg/612)
• Patient ratios of 1:5, may flex to 1:6
• Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 4-5 nurses, 2-4 PCTs, and monitor tech
• Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 4-5 nurses, 2-4 PCTs, and monitor tech
• No on-call requirements
• Mandatory float to like units required
• Must have telemetry experience and medical surgical experience
• ACLS certification preferred
• Work with equipment including capnography, PCAs, and remote telemetry
• EMR system: Meditech
• Handle orthopedic procedures including spines, TKAs, THAs, and other ortho trauma repairs
• Manage post-catheterization patients (no intervention)
• Perform blood administration, heparin drips, Bumex, and Lasix administration
• Complete bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounds
• Clock in and out for lunch breaks required
• Must be positive, flexible, and able to handle high pressure situations
• Team player willing to assist with tasks outside of assignment
