RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• 46-bed medical/surgical unit with 6:1 patient ratios
• May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU for telemetry overflow
• Minimum two years med/surg experience required
• Telemetry experience and post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience required
• Required certifications: Active nursing license in good standing, BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Preferred advanced skills: chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions
• General med/surg skills needed including EKG interpretation, CPap management, port access
• Procedures performed include telemetry monitoring and paracentesis
• Equipment used: GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Dress code: Navy blue or gray scrubs only, no royal blue scrubs permitted, any color scrub jacket allowed
• Unit utilizes GroupMe for communication and has strong interdisciplinary collaboration
