RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Must have 2 years of experience in hospital setting
• Active Kentucky nursing license required at submission
• Patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1 on 46-bed unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Must have telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
• Experience required with post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention procedures
• Must be proficient in cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions management and titration
• CPap and BiPap management experience required
• Port access and therapeutic phlebotomy skills needed
• Advanced skills preferred: chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions
• May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU for tele overflow
• Equipment includes GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Dress code: Navy blue or Gray scrubs only, no royal blue scrubs permitted
• Unit performs telemetry monitoring, paracentesis, BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures
