RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float to other units as needed, following same expectations as staff RNs
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA, PALS from AHA, TNCC or ATCN
• CPI or equivalent certification preferred
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to emergency department population
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish care priorities
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Delegate work assignments and coordinate team activities
• Must handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Requires heavy physical effort for patient positioning and equipment handling
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
