RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Call responsibilities required during the week and weekend coverage
• Must have Tennessee RN or multi-state RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience required
• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Document patient care and monitor patient conditions
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care, transfers, discharge, and referrals
• Provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Must have knowledge of general surgery, orthopedic procedures including total joints, OB, GYN, and endoscopy
• Cover C-sections and perform recovery duties for general surgery patients with ETT as needed
• Work as circulator and provide patient recovery services before transferring to floor or same day surgery
• Work as advocate for physical and emotional well-being of patients
