Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI RAD Tech

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• 1+ years of experience required
• Required certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible
• Must be proficient at venipuncture
• No call requirements or float requirements
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Work with EPIC EMR system
• Perform patient assessment using appropriate policies, protocols and standards of practice
• Evaluate orders, document contrast and patient responses before, during and after imaging procedures
• Screen for safety precautions while patients and staff are in the MRI suite
• Monitor MRI equipment safety including helium pressure and safety zones
• Provide patient education based on individual patient needs and learning readiness
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of procedures, contrast orders and screening documentation
• Verify patient data and exam orders to ensure accuracy
• Work with physicians on PACS system
• Screen all patients, visitors and staff for MRI contraindications
• Verify metallic implants are MRI compatible
• Maintain and monitor MRI equipment for unsafe conditions
