RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work in Trauma Stepdown unit on 5th floor
• 25-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4 (maximum 1:5 for stepdown)
• No on-call requirements
• May float to other stepdown service lines (Progressive Care Unit/Heart and Vascular Unit)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Provide post-operative care for various surgical patients including trauma, bariatric, vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, general, and urological surgeries
• Care for patients with neurological diagnoses including CVA, TIA, TBI, seizures, and altered mental status
• Manage patients with cardiac conditions, chest pain, CHF, sepsis, and alcohol withdrawal
• Monitor telemetry patients and perform Q4 patient assessments
• Administer various IV drips including heparin, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and others
• Trauma/orthopedic experience and Meditech experience preferred
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
• Need to be adaptable and function as a team player
