RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work on Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit with 23 beds plus 1 treatment room
• Patient ratios: Days/Eves RNs (1-4), Nights (1-5)
• Day shift staffing includes CNC/Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT, and 1 Dept Co till 7pm
• Night shift staffing includes CNC/Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Floating within alike areas
• Must wear hospital scrubs
• ACLS certification required
• Cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience mandatory
• Knowledge and skill set for cardiac medical and procedural patients required
• Experience with cardiac drips including Amio, diltiazem, renal dose dopa, dobutamine, milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, some rooms hard-wired
• Use vein finder for IV therapy, portable and continuous pulse oximetry
• Operate manual/automatic vital sign machines, blood glucose monitors, mechanical lifts, dopplers
• Work with Allscripts EMR system with medication scanning capabilities
• Care for hemodynamically stable MI patients, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset Afib patients
• Handle procedural patients including cardiac caths, ablations, cardioversions, ICD, pacers
• Manage ICU transfers, neuro patients, pulmonary patients requiring BiPap, Hi-flow and Salter
• Must be engaging, team oriented, flexible/adaptable, and patient centered
