RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 23-bed Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit with 1 treatment room
• Patient ratios: Days/Evenings 1:4, Nights 1:5
• Every other weekend requirement
• Required certification: ACLS
• Must have cardiac telemetry knowledge and experience with cardiac medical procedural patients
• Work with cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Diltiazem, renal dose Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Lasix, and insulin drips
• Care for hemodynamically stable MI patients, acute/chronic heart failure, new onset AFib, stable dysrhythmias
• Handle procedural patients including cardiac catheterizations (radial or femoral), ablations, cardioversions, ICDs, and pacers
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, vein finders for IV therapy, portable pulse oximetry, vital sign machines
• Use Allscripts EMR system with medication scanning capabilities
• May float within similar units
• Hospital scrubs required
• Strong medical-surgical background with telemetry preferred
• Must be engaging, team-oriented, flexible, and patient-centered
