Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work on a 14-22 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Medical/surgical patient ratio of 4:1
• Day shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing
• Night shift includes charge nurse coordinator and 4-6 nurses, with preferred charge nurse free staffing
• Staff dependent on patient acuity and census
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• Preferred certification: ACLS
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Royal blue scrubs required
• May float to NICU level 1 or 2 only
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days every 4 weeks
• No on-call responsibilities
• Perform procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures
• Manage seizure patients and non-invasive cardiology cases
• Care for neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, thoracic surgery patients including thoracotomy/thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants
• No neurosurgery, stroke, or foreign body airway removal cases
• Supportive and collaborative team environment where everyone helps each other

This specialized women's hospital provides comprehensive pediatric intensive care services in a state-of-the-art facility. Located on the 5th floor of the West tower, the PICU offers advanced medical care for critically ill children and infants. The facility maintains a full team environment focused on collaboration and support, with services spanning neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and thoracic surgery specialties.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
