RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No rotation to day shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio of 2 patients per nurse in ICU
• Floating required, most likely to Med-Surg unit
• 2-3 days of orientation provided
• 2 years clinical experience required with minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS (can be provided if not held)
• Care for intermediate/critical care patients and Med-Surg overflow patients including respiratory, cardiac, sepsis, diabetic patients
• Adult/geriatric patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Work with IV drips, IV pumps, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and blood transfusions
• Perform procedures including IV starts, venipuncture, EKGs, and patient transports
• Document using Epic system with Epic and Pyxis medication systems
• Dress code: Any color scrubs, clean closed-toe shoes, minimal jewelry, neat hair, no artificial nails
• Team and primary nursing care modality
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for ventilator management and support

This 25-bed community hospital features a 4-bed Intensive Care Unit providing intermediate and critical care services. The facility maintains a supportive environment with respiratory therapy available around the clock and anesthesia support on-call. The hospital focuses on comprehensive patient care with modern documentation and medication systems, offering a close-knit team atmosphere in a smaller healthcare setting.
