RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work mid-shift hours from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed
• No call responsibilities
• No floating between units
• Block scheduling not allowed
• No 48-hour guarantee
• Patient ratio of 1:5 in 44-bed emergency department
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH (ARC/AHA only)
• Tennessee or multistate nursing license required
• Minimum 1 year experience required, 2 years preferred
• Navy scrubs required
• Experience with Cerner EMR system
• Provide emergency room patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in emergency department care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities and provide supervision of assigned personnel
• Must live greater than 50 miles from facility
