RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position with rotation to Medical-Surgical, Inpatient Rehab, and Behavioral units
• May be assigned to step-down unit if experienced in that specialty
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification required and must be maintained without grace period
• Must have current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to assigned unit population
• Ensure quality care is provided in efficient and safe manner
• Demonstrate performance consistent with unit standards of care
• Communicate clearly and appropriately to developmental age of patients
• Handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Perform heavy physical tasks including positioning, pushing, and transferring patients
• Work in bloodborne pathogen environment with exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
• Flexible schedule required due to unexpected changes and emergencies
