RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on a 46-bed unit
• May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg) or PCU (tele overflow)
• Minimum two years med/surg experience required
• Must have telemetry experience and post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience
• Work with equipment including GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, and Glucometer
• Document using Meditech Expanse system
• Perform telemetry monitoring and paracentesis procedures
• Preferred advanced skills include chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, and blood transfusions
• Required certifications: Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually)
• Dress code requires navy blue or gray scrubs with no t-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts allowed
• May wear any color or patterned scrub jacket and long sleeve shirts under scrub top
• Royal blue scrubs are prohibited as they are reserved for OB/LD department safety identification
