Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Must have Kentucky or Compact license at submission
• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios of 2:1 to 3:1 on 10-bed unit
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and annual NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• Work with equipment including Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Navy or gray scrubs required
• Skills needed include CPap and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilators
• Perform procedures including telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Unit staffed with Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• Excellent teamwork environment with GroupMe communication platform
• Full support from director, manager, and clinical educator

The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and features excellent interdisciplinary communication and collaboration with all providers. The ICU has a strong reputation for retaining traveling nurses who extend their contracts due to exceptional teamwork and amazing staff support.

Frankfort offers a convenient location in Central Kentucky, approximately 50 miles from Louisville and 30 miles from Lexington, with easy access via I-64. The city provides a perfect balance of small-town charm as the state capital while offering proximity to larger metropolitan areas for additional amenities and entertainment options.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
