RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with potential to work beyond 3:00 PM as needed
• Full-time position with 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
• CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience required
• Minimum one year recent surgical setting experience required
• Five years surgical scrub experience required
• Weekend requirement: Yes
• On-call requirement: Yes
• No floating outside of Operating Room
• Current Louisiana RN License required
• Current BLS Card from AHA required
• ACLS Certification from AHA required
• Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical interventions
• Utilize nursing process including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care
• Ensure effective communication between nurse, patient, staff, physicians, anesthesia providers and other departments
• Provide quality care in efficient and safe manner for patients from infant to older adult age groups
• Incorporate current clinical knowledge with established nursing practice
