RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating schedule: Monday-Tuesday on, Wednesday-Thursday off, Friday-Sunday on, Monday-Tuesday off, Wednesday-Thursday on, Friday-Sunday off
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and RN License in state of employment or compact
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Manage a wide range of medical-surgical cases including pneumonia, cardiovascular issues, and patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Perform tasks such as dressing changes, managing IV drips, inserting and maintaining IV lines, and caring for NG tubes and PEG tubes
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Temp to perm option available if open permanent roles exist
