RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Multiple shifts available
• Must have recent/current ER (trauma I, II, or III) experience required
• 6 weekend days worked per 6 weeks
• 2 on-call shifts required per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed
• Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department conditions
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), TNCC
• New Mexico RN License or compact license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of related nursing specialty experience preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
