RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday
• On-call responsibilities up to 15 days per month
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in operating room patient care
• Work as part of surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, operating room technicians, and other personnel
• Ensure supplies are available and cases run on schedule
• Communicate with patient families throughout surgical process
• Update physician preference cards as needed
• Scrub in and assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in operating room
• Provide patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards
• Follow physician orders, hospital policies and surgical department procedures
• New Mexico RN licensure required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in critical care or surgical services required
• Position is a contractor replacement
