RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in C200 Progressive Care Unit with 10-bed capacity
• Patient ratios of 3-4:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LNA, and sitter PRN
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, and sitter PRN
• Every third weekend schedule, no on-call responsibilities
• Must have telemetry experience and comfort with chest tubes
• Preferred experience with cardiac drips (dobutamine, dopamine, Levo) and external pacemaker experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, chest tubes, vein finder, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, and epicardial/transvenous pacers
• Use Sunrise EMR system
• Care for mostly cardio-thoracic and vascular surgical patients with occasional medical progressive care patients
• Perform procedures including pericardialcentesis with drains, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion
• Float to progressive care and telemetry units as needed
• Must be organized but easily adaptable personality fit
