Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Rad Tech - IR Tech

Job Details:

• This is a technologist position, not an RN position
• Work in Interventional Radiology department on 1st floor of main building
• Day shift includes 3-4 techs, 3-4 RNs, and 1 scheduler/coordinator
• Night shift operates on call basis
• 1-2 nights of call per week required
• 1 weekend of call every 4-5 weekends
• Patient ratios depend on type of IR procedure performed
• Work with Discovery 740 IGS equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Critical care experience required
• Procedural area experience required
• Moderate sedation experience required
• PALS certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Perform biopsies and drain insertions
• Conduct angiograms and peripheral vascular procedures
• Assist with paracenteses and thoracentesis
• Support other imaging needs including CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms
• Assist with line placement procedures
• May float to assist in CT, MRI, or general radiology departments
• Must be outgoing, self-starter, team-oriented with positive personality
