RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
• Call requirements include minimum 1 weekday per week and weekend rotation
• On-call shifts Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment duration starting ASAP
• 2+ years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience required with general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma procedures
• Adult and pediatric experience required
• Work as OR circulator in 6 operating rooms handling approximately 250 procedures per month
• Patient ratio 1:1
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in surgical patient care
• Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians as part of surgical team
• Ensure supplies availability, case timeliness, and family communication
• Update physician preference cards and supervise personnel delivering patient care
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases

This healthcare facility is a 99-bed medical center featuring a comprehensive surgical department with 6 operating rooms. The facility performs approximately 250 surgical procedures per month and maintains high standards for perioperative care according to state nursing practice acts, AORN guidelines, and regulatory standards. The operating room department provides a collaborative environment where nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members to deliver quality patient care across multiple surgical specialties.
