RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios typically 1:4 up to 1:6 based on acuity
• Required to pick up one additional shift every 4-week schedule period
• May float to Intensive Care Units, medical-surgical units, and Renown South Meadows
• Required to work major holidays
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
• Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred
• Provide care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro)
• Work with ECG monitoring technology available 24/7
• Collaborate with Critical Care Techs, Advanced Care Techs, CNAs, and ancillary staff
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

This major healthcare facility features a 38-bed telemetry unit within an 800-bed hospital system serving a 500-mile radius. The facility operates as a Level II trauma center with stroke accreditation and 80 emergency department beds, maintaining the volume and pace of a Level I trauma center. The organization offers state-of-the-art technology including the region's first accredited heart failure center, Institute for Neurosciences, Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, and advanced imaging capabilities including 3T MRI and PET/CT scanners.
