RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Work on 38-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios typically 1:4 up to 1:6 based on acuity
• Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
• May be required to float to Intensive Care Units, medical-surgical units, or Renown South Meadows based on competency level
• Must work major holidays and weekends as scheduled
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
• Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred but not required
• Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, and cath lab procedures
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc.)
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
