RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with 2 open positions available
• Care for adult and pediatric patients in high acuity emergency department
• Handle designated stroke, STEMI, trauma, and resuscitation cases
• Work in regional advanced cardiac hospital setting
• One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), and TNCC
• Texas RN license or compact state license required
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding
• Must complete Emergency Department-specific competency validation
• Provide complex nursing care using nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
