RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3 days per week with every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Float between MS2 and MS3 units (27 beds each)
• Work with post-operative patients, especially orthopedic cases
• Must have basic Med/Surg experience and experience with post-op patients
• Perform blood transfusions and IV/central line maintenance
• Use Computer on Wheels, Pyxis medication system, and Welch Allen vital sign machines
• Documentation system transitioning from Medhost to Meditech
• Unit support includes secretaries during day shift and techs on all shifts
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred but not required
• Dark blue uniform required
• Work with brand new computer on wheels and vital sign machines

This medical center operates two medical-surgical units providing comprehensive care for patients requiring various medical and surgical interventions. The facility features modern equipment and technology, including newly upgraded computer systems and vital sign machines. The organization is currently implementing system improvements with a transition to updated documentation systems to enhance patient care efficiency and accuracy.
