Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• First to float to Medical Surgical or Emergency Department for 1:1 assignments
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2-3 depending on acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR or trauma care experience
• Must pass fit testing requirements - facial hair restrictions apply
• Navy scrubs required
• 3 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Care for patients with DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, medical detox
• Manage arterial lines and CVP monitoring
• Required to titrate drips typical to ICU setting
• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Work with respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators
• No clinical involvement in charge nurse duties - ER oversees ICU
• No nurse aids or patient care techs on unit
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• BSN not required
• 50-mile radius rule applies

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
