Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Rad Tech - Radiology

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week (5x8 schedule)
• 2+ years of experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT, RT(R)
• Black scrub color required
• Work with EPIC EMR system
• Greet patients by name, introduce self, and provide thorough procedure explanations
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in producing diagnostic images and recognize technical abnormalities
• Select appropriate techniques for each procedure and position patients according to department protocol
• Prepare and stock rooms for various exams, check equipment between patients, and order supplies
• Clean rooms and equipment between patients, including patient waiting areas
• Assist radiologist and performing physician with interventional procedures including routine and emergency procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and sterile fields during procedures
• Perform exams on outpatient, inpatient, ICU, and ER patients including trauma cases
• Obtain appropriate clinical history, document information, and obtain informed consent when necessary
• Correctly obtain and administer contrast materials for patient exams
• Transport patients and specimens as needed
• Understand safe and proper machine operation, emergency procedures, and radiation safety procedures
