RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in high-acuity setting required
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• Must work 2 weekends per schedule, no on-call required
• Strong triage and critical thinking skills required
• Trauma and cardiac alert experience required, including care of STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion
• Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response
• Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
• Prepare and coordinate transport for higher levels of care
• Conduct triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines
• Follow isolation and infection control protocols
• Document and reassess in fast-paced environments
• Must be team-oriented with strong work ethic and accountability
• Must be punctual, reliable, and compassionate with excellent patient-centered care
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced environment

This healthcare facility operates a 22-bed Emergency Department with a team of 55 staff members providing comprehensive emergency care. The facility maintains high standards for emergency services with structured staffing ratios and specialized teams for day and night shifts. The organization utilizes Meditech EMR systems and focuses on delivering high-acuity emergency care with emphasis on trauma, cardiac, and critical care services.
