RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in an 11-bed Emergency Department with a patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Day shift: 1 charge nurse (7a-7p), 1 AM RN (7a-7p), 1 RN (10a-10p), 1 PCT
• Night shift: 1 charge nurse (7p-7a), 1 PM RN (7p-7a), 1 RN (1p-1a), 1 PCT
• Work every other weekend with no call responsibilities
• Must have 3+ years recent Emergency Department experience
• Previous charge experience preferred for multi-tasking and independent thinking abilities
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Work with Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
• Use Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Perform STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, intubation, laceration repair, antivenom infusion, and orthopedic splinting
• Must be friendly, honest, flexible, compassionate, work well with others, possess critical thinking skills, and demonstrate sense of urgency when needed
