RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement applies
• No on-call requirements
• Float to other units as needed
• No blocked scheduling or set schedule
• Must have minimum 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience
• Required certifications: RN state or compact license, BLS from AHA
• ACLS certification is optional
• EMR system: Epic
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age population served
• Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely
• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish care priorities
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures
• Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team responsibilities
• Must demonstrate effective communication and professional attitude
• Work involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Physical requirements include prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and transferring patients
• Must handle emergency situations and work flexible hours
