RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work in 14-22 bed pediatric intensive care unit
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for medical/surgical patients
• Day shift staffed with charge nurse and 4-6 nurses; night shift staffed with charge nurse and 4-6 nurses
• Work 4 weekend days every 4 weeks with no on-call requirements
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• ACLS certification preferred
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Handle typical procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, and lumbar punctures
• Manage seizure patients and provide noninvasive cardiology care
• Support neuro, orthopedic, general surgery, and thoracic cases including thoracotomy/thoracoscopy and pectus bar implants
• May float to NICU level 1 or 2 units only
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
• Work in supportive and collaborative full team environment
