RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in 15-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility on 3S floor
• Patient ratio of 5:1, maximum 6:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, and 1 CNA
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse (takes full patient load), 2 RNs, and 1 CNA
• Work every other weekend and holidays
• On-call requirements are seldom, only when overall hospital census is low
• Must have transfer training and EMR proficiency
• Required certifications: BLS and RN licensure
• Float to Med-Surge, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedic, and overflow units between hospitals (excludes ICU)
• Work with equipment including VS machines, transfer equipment (hoyer lift, sliding boards), EKG, bladder scanner
• Use Meditech EMR system and Pyxis
• Perform patient transfers, bladder scans, dressing changes, and medication administration
• Follow unit protocols including bedside report/handoff, hourly rounding, and bed alarm activation
• Ideal candidate demonstrates teamwork and takes initiative
• Rehabilitation experience and rehab scoring documentation preferred
