RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on Bean 5 floor specializing in Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC)
• Available for both day and night shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours: 36 hours (unless otherwise noted)
• No call requirements
• 1-2 years minimum nursing experience required
• Patient ratios: Day shift Med/Surg 1:4-5, Night shift Med/Surg 1:5-6, Day and Night IMC 3:1
• Float requirements: IMC RNs may float to another IMC level of care unit or to med/surg as needed; Med/surg RNs may float to another med/surg unit with similar level of care
• Must have ventilator experience for IMC positions
• All RNs must have experience with tracheostomies and reading/interpreting telemetry strips
• Work with equipment including ventilators, BiPaP, CPAP, epidural pumps, IV pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, VAC dressings, and trach care/maintenance
• Use Epic EMR system
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, medical telemetry, some surgical cases, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic medical conditions
• BLS certification required
• Complete mandatory onboarding education modules
• Professional dress code required with no logos other than hospital-related
• Must demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, good communication, and patient-centered care
