RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement of up to 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• No on-call requirement, but may be placed on call if unit or hospital has low census
• Float to other units when census or acuity is low to work as a sitter or assist with CNA duties
• Required certifications: New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) or ENPC, TNCC or ATCN
• CPI or equivalent certification preferred
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age-appropriate patient populations
• Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Demonstrate performance consistent with organizational mission, philosophy, and goals
• Treat staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect
• Handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking required
• Physical demands include heavy lifting to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment
• Work environment includes exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
