Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Must have 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular experience required
• UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance with maximum 2 attempts
• Pass/fail Simulation Lab required on Day 1 of orientation
• Work in 32-bed Surgical ICU specializing in trauma neuro surgery or 36-bed Medical Cardiac ICU plus 12-bed overflow unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be comfortable titrating multiple drips including propofol, fentanyl, vasopressors, and cardiac medications
• RNs required to interpret their own telemetry strips using GE monitors
• Self-scheduling with manager balancing for unit needs
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday-Sunday
• May have 1 holiday off during assignment
• May be low-censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs
• Float to telemetry with 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed
• Float between all 3 ICUs and potentially to sister facility Mercy Gilbert
• Navy scrub color required
• 1-2 days unit-specific orientation
• Charting system: Cerner
• Care for Level 1 trauma patients, post-surgical cases, sepsis, cardiovascular procedures, and complex medical conditions

The facility provides 24/7 intensivist and respiratory therapy coverage, utilizing advanced equipment including various ventilator models and specialized cardiac support devices like ECMO, IABP, and Impella pumps. The healthcare organization maintains high standards for critical care delivery and offers a collaborative environment with no nursing assistants on the unit, allowing RNs to focus on direct patient care.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
