RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating requirements
• Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients
• Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT
• Care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and patients on ventilators
• Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS via AHA
• Current Louisiana RN license or current Compact state license required
• One year of critical care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
• Temporary to permanent position possibility available
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
