Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Scientist - Medical Lab Scientist

Job Details:

• Work 7 days on, 7 days off rotating schedule (Wednesday through Tuesday)
• Wednesday-Friday shifts: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday-Tuesday shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Full-time position with no on-call requirements
• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures including specimen processing, testing, and result reporting
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Cross-train in multiple laboratory sections as needed
• Follow quality control programs and utilize Laboratory Information System
• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric volumes when required
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures
• Must possess certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Louisiana state license required
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science required
• Experience requirements vary based on education background and training program completion

The laboratory department performs a wide range of testing including blood banking, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and urinalysis to support patient care across all age groups.
