Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks required
• Holiday work integrated into core staff rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU, 4:1 when floating to telemetry units
• Must have 2 years ICU experience (will consider 18 months if coming from Neuro ICU)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• Required to float between all ICU floors and telemetry units
• 2 shifts floor-specific orientation provided
• May be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
• Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience
• Care for patients requiring critical care with neurological diagnoses
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitors
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Scrub color requirement: steel grey for neuro floors
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
