RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Provide critical care nursing in adult ICU setting with 10-bed unit accommodating both ICU and medical-surgical patients
• Must have 1 year recent LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospital) experience
• Required experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care
• Required experience with wound care
• Must float to LTAC unit based on facility census needs
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS through American Heart Association
• Ohio RN license or multi-state RN license required
• Assess patient conditions and implement comprehensive care plans
• Provide advanced life support and treat wounds
• Assist physicians with procedures and monitor vital signs
• Ensure proper function of ventilators, monitors, and medical equipment
• Adjust ventilator settings and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) as needed
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications
• Perform suctioning procedures
• Collaborate with critical care team members
• Respond to life-threatening situations using nursing protocols
• Act as patient advocate and provide family education and support
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed
