Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Scientist - Medical Lab Scientist

Job Details:

• Work 7 days on/7 days off schedule from Wednesday through Tuesday
• Shift hours: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM with flexibility and potential schedule changes
• Full-time position with temp-to-perm possibility
• No on-call requirements
• Must possess certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Louisiana state license required
• Must maintain current certification if expiration date applies
• Cross-training to other laboratory sections required
• Perform all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and testing
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Calculate, enter, and verify laboratory test results
• Follow quality control procedures and laboratory protocols
• Utilize Laboratory Information System
• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric specimen volumes
• Provide critical laboratory value notifications and documentation
• Participate in evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures
• May perform phlebotomy and other patient-oriented tasks
• Complete all required compliance and regulatory tasks
