RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position available
• Must have several years of ICU experience required
• Care for patients with DKA, post-STEMIs, stroke patients (post-TNK), intubated/ventilated patients, ARDS, MODS, CHF exacerbation, COPD exacerbation, GI bleeds, renal failure (CRRT/SLED), liver failure, IABP, and Impellas
• Must be well versed in clinical judgment, caring practices, collaboration, diversity responsiveness, systems thinking, clinical inquiry and advocacy
• Experience with EPIC use, Pyxis use, and Excel for scheduling required
• One year of experience in Critical Care setting required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), NIHSS, RN License in Texas or compact state
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding
• Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
• Annual competency verification requirements must be maintained
