RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Med Surg experience and telemetry experience required
• Weekend shifts are required with no on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratios: 5:1 on 4th Floor Med Surg Specialty, 6:1 on 5th Floor Med Surg
• Work with remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps
• Use Alterra (Allscripts) EMR system
• Typical procedures include abdominal surgeries (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy), diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, gastric sleeves, total hip/knee/shoulder replacements, and orthopedic trauma repairs
• Mandatory float as needed to inpatient rehab, emergency department, and PCU (assignments will not exceed skill level or scope)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Team-oriented, positive, and flexible personality preferred
• Scrub dress code: Currently black scrubs transitioning to Medical City blue
• Preferred skills include cardiac recognition, IV starts, and strong time management
