RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float position working across multiple patient care units
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population served
• Provide quality care in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Must be graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification required
• Must demonstrate current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served
• Must communicate clearly and concisely appropriate to developmental age of patient
• Must be knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in delivery of care
• Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations required
• Must be able to perform prolonged standing and walking
• Requires heavy physical effort to position, push and transfer patients or equipment
• Must have manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
• Working hours are varied with flexibility due to unexpected changes and emergencies
