RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 5 x 8-hour shifts per week
• Call requirements: minimum 1 weekday per week and weekend rotation
• On-call shifts Monday - Friday 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment duration
• 2+ years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience required with general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopic, and trauma procedures
• Must have both adult and pediatric experience
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Work as circulator in operating room environment
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in patient care planning
• Ensure supplies availability, case timeliness, and family communication
• Update physician preference cards and scrub/assist physicians during surgical cases
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care
• New Mexico state fingerprints required for all travelers

Facility:

This 99-bed medical center features a 6-operating room surgical department that performs approximately 250 procedures per month. The facility provides comprehensive surgical services including general, orthopedic, OBGYN, podiatry, plastic, endoscopic, and trauma procedures for both adult and pediatric patients. The operating room maintains high standards of patient care according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN guidelines, and regulatory standards.
