RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Primary assignment at Physician Medical Center with required willingness to float to Main campus as staffing needs require
• No weekend requirement but can volunteer to pick up call at Main campus
• No on-call requirement, but expectation to stay and finish scheduled cases if they run past block time
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
• BLS Certification required via AHA
• ACLS Certification required via AHA
• Must demonstrate current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to age of patient population
• Ensure quality care is provided in efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Requires heavy physical effort to position, push, and transfer patients or equipment
• Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination required
• Work in clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment
• Subject to exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays
