RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with temp to perm possibility
• Must have ventilator and pediatric ICU experience required
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Texas RN License or compact license required
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Precepted by designated trained staff member during onboarding
• Complete organizational entry competency validation and Pediatric Services-specific competency validation
• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of pediatric patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
