Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Full-time position with no weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating requirements to other locations
• Treat cancer and osteoarthritis patients using SBRT, IMRT, basic radiation therapy, and breath-hold treatments
• Operate Trilogy and/or Trubeam machines with two therapists per machine
• See 15-25 patients per day
• Utilize radiation therapy equipment under direction of radiation oncologist for prescribed ionizing radiation doses
• Perform simulation procedures and accurately outline treatment portals
• Document treatment parameters and maintain treatment records
• Perform daily quality assurance tests and equipment troubleshooting
• Fabricate immobilization devices and treat/simulate SRS and SBRT patients
• Schedule patients, coordinate with physician and chemotherapy schedules
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing procedures
• Associate's degree required
• Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy/Radiography required
• Louisiana Radiation Therapy Technology certification required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
• Knowledge of radiation therapy theory and practice required
