RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed trauma/orthopedic/medical-surgical telemetry unit
• 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs, and 1 secretary
• Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, and 3 PCTs
• Every other weekend shifts required
• On-call responsibilities when census is low
• Float to other units including 6A, 3A, 3South, and 4South as needed
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Wound Vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo pumps, chest tubes, telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, BiPAPs, and epidurals
• Perform procedures including wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and indwelling Foley catheter insertion
• Medical-surgical experience required
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to work as a team player
• Prioritization and time management skills preferred
• Required certifications: Active nursing license, ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs required, no sweatshirts or crocs permitted
