RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 22-bed Emergency Department with 4:1 patient ratios
• Day shift includes charge nurse plus 5 RNs, night shift includes charge nurse plus 6 RNs
• 2 weekends per schedule required, no on-call responsibilities
• Required dress code: Royal blue scrubs
• EMR system: Meditech
• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in high-acuity setting required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• Strong triage and critical thinking skills required
• Experience with trauma and cardiac alerts, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis care
• Perform IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
• Provide moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion
• Assist with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response
• Care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
• Coordinate transport preparation for higher levels of care
• Conduct triage assessment and prioritization based on ESI guidelines
• Maintain isolation and infection control protocols
• Document and reassess patients in fast-paced environments
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
• Must be team-oriented, punctual, reliable, and compassionate with excellent patient-centered care
